Job summary
Cornwall Council families together and Cornwall Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for children and young people has changed, for the better. We have developed a multiagency rapid response service (MARRS) that will deliver urgent care across services for children and young people who experience mental health and social care crisis across Cornwall. We have built an integrated pathway that offers support and treatment for families in a joined-up way. We have 3 bases in Cornwall (Roche, Truro and Helston).
We have been working with families and staff to develop a service that puts the young person and their family at the centre of what we do. We provide a seamless, integrated, and holistic approach to crisis care, supporting families to bring positive change
We are an integrated, multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, who focus on ensuring children and young people, and their families, get the right help at the right time.
Main duties of the job
As the Team Manager, you will oversee an integrated, multi-disciplinary CAMHS team who are focused on ensuring children and young people, and their families, get the right help at the right time.
Your expertise is essential in the new model of care to ensure adaptive mentalization based integrative treatment. You will be supporting a team of professionals who will be reaching out to those hard to engage young people and their families, offering a family focused approach that keeps the young person at the centre of the care, working to prevent admission and supporting young people and their families on their journey of recovery.
You will have a shared commitment to learning and development. We look forward to you incorporating your own experience into practice, but we are also committed to enhancing this, with training opportunities to support our care delivery in AMBIT, DBT, Think family systemic approaches aswell as trauma informed care.
The team currently offer urgent assessments in hospital, or in the community which can encompass short-term intervention and intensive support at home , actively working with our partners to prevent children and young people being admitted into hospital. We operate a shift-based rota that covers 24 hours a day, 7 days per week to ensure the service is accessible, flexible, and able to respond in a timely manner.
