Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time enthusiastic, vibrant, Occupational Therapist, to work in our Community branch of the Mental Health Rehabilitation Service, We are based at the Bodmin Hospital site in Cornwall.

The Community Mental Health Rehabilitation team provides a service across the whole county of Cornwall supporting people recovering from complex and enduring mental health issues. The team operates alongside the inpatient facility, Fettle House, allowing the team to follow through a service offering a specific pathway for the patients as they resume/ establish independent lives outside of the hospital setting.

We take a person-centred approach in developing individualised dialogue plus care plans. In addition, the post holder will have a key role supporting and supervising junior team members as well as participating in the continued review and development of the rehabilitation service. Regular individual support and supervision is provided.

Main duties of the job

To maintain and further develop the current Occupational Therapy offer

Provision of occupational therapy to a defined caseload of patients within the CMHRT using the care programme approach, evidence-based practice, Occupational Therapy process and client entered principles

To contribute to assessment and planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions within the context of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • HCPC registration
  • Current experience within a mental health setting
