Primary Mental Health Support Worker - St.Austell

Job summary

The role includes delivering care to young people both individually and in groups, in various locations including a young person's school, local family centers and digitally. The post holder will be expected to work within this at times complex and variable setting, without direct supervision, but reporting to and in collaboration with senior colleagues, to deliver a high standard of evidence-based care and treatment to maximize each young person's individual potential. Working with Neurodiversity, exploring and supporting assessments is a big part of the role.

Full time role, but part time hours can be discussed at interview

Main duties of the job

Supporting mental health assessments, facilitating 1-1 sessions with children and young people, working to support parents alongside. Supporting development and delivery of psychoeducation groups covering low mood and anxiety. Progressing and completing ADHD assessments, ensuring all relevant evidence is collated and presented. Presenting children and young people to Multi disciplinary team meetings both within the Primary Mental Health Team and wider CAMHS services. Supporting senior staff within the team where appropriate. Training and development where appropriate.
