Senior Administrator for Children's Epilepsy Nursing

Job summary

We are seeking a senior administrator to join the children's community nursing services administration team. The post holder will be predominately responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Epilepsy Nursing Team.

This is a permanent 35 hours a week post, working Monday to Friday.

The epilepsy nurses support children and young people (CYP) and their families with a diagnosis of epilepsy across Cornwall. They offer support in a variety of ways, holding nurse clinics, home visits, telephone reviews and attending joint appointments with the CYP's paediatrician. The nurses also provide regular epilepsy awareness training and advice to those involved with the CYP. The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach, a good communicator and have the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job include: writing minutes for the various meetings, liaising with other professionals to gather additional information for the clinical team, overseeing the completion of Rio essential information, typing letters and reports as directed, diary management, scanning and entering confidential information on to the computer systems and supporting the Team Manager in basic workforce tasks.

  • CLAIT/ECDL/NVQ 2 or equivalent
