We are looking to recruit
a part-time clinical skills lecturer to join our busy Clinical Skills team.
Tasks will involve organizing and delivering clinical skills teaching to
medical and biomedical sciences students, developing learning materials and all
aspects of clinical skills assessments (OSCEs).
You should be an
enthusiastic medical graduate with full GMC registration, an excellent
communicator and have experience of teaching clinical skills. This is an
exciting time of development in the clinical skills curriculum and there will
be an opportunity to gain wider experience and skills in curriculum
development, course design and quality assurance.

In particular the post-holder will lead on the organisation, preparation and delivery of one of the clinical skills teaching streams and input regularly into other streams.
The Clinical Skills team deliver an extensive and exciting clinical skills curriculum, principally in the early years of undergraduate medical training, but extending into the later years. The teaching is highly popular with the students and fulfils an essential role in the development of competent graduates.
The team not only delivers much of the clinical skills teaching, but also commissions teaching from and liaises with other clinicians. A large proportion of the teaching is delivered by an extensive peer tutor and qualified sessional tutor programme. These tutors are managed, trained and developed by the Clinical Skills team.

stream.
We
are seeking a part-time clinical skills lecturer to fill a vacant post. The
post-holder will be the lead for one of the main teaching streams for the
delivery of clinical skills teaching to MBBS5, MBBS4 students and Biomedical
Sciences. In addition to leading on
one teaching stream the post holder will also have a regular input into
teaching clinical skills for other years working under the direction of the
relevant year lead, and tutor recruitment, development and supervision. For T
year teaching, which runs on Wednesday mornings, there is a requirement for an
early start at 7:30am on some Wednesdays.
