Job summary

The post holder will provide operational delivery, coordination and advisory support to the group Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) function, working under the direction of the Group Head of EDI (Workforce). The role will support the implementation of EDI projects, events and campaigns, ensuring activity is delivered effectively, consistently and in line with organisational priorities.

The post holder will act as a first point of contact for all EDI-related queries, providing advice and guidance to staff and line managers. The post holder will administer and coordinate the Group's reasonable adjustment processes, all EDI communications and engagement activities, which contribute to an inclusive workplace culture through practical delivery and support.

Main duties of the job

This role supports a wide range of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) projects that improve workforce outcomes across the organisation. Providing operational and logistical support for EDI projects, events and campaigns under the direction of the Group Head of EDI.

Act as a first point of contact for general EDI-related queries, providing initial advice-based support and guidance to staff and line managers on EDI-related matters, including reasonable adjustments.

Projects, Events and Support to the EDI Function

1. Provide operational and logistical support for EDI projects, events and campaigns under the direction of the Group Head of EDI.

2. Coordinate and support the delivery of EDI awareness events and campaigns (e.g. Pride, Black History Month, Disability History Month).

3. Effectively plan EDI activity by devising and maintaining delivery plans, timelines and trackers.

4. Lead in the coordination of EDI events across the Group, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

5. Develop and establish effective evaluation tools, that are deployed and utilised to ensure adequate feedback can be gathered to inform service design, and evidence engagement and outcomes

6. Develop, and maintain EDI training and materials as required, ensuring resources remain accurate, accessible and aligned with guidance.

7. Deliver training as and when required, across the Group.

8. Maintain organised systems, records, trackers and shared folders to support. governance. Ensuring information is accurate, complete and kept up to date.

9. Collate all relevant information to ensure effective monitoring of EDI activity and reporting, analysing as appropriate inform future activity.

10. Support the preparation of annual reports, routine updates and briefings as required.

EDI Enquiries, Advice and Case Support

1. Act as the first point of contact for EDI-related queries, responding promptly and escalating if required.

2. Providing support and advice to staff who may be highly distressed or emotional.

3. Provide advice-based support and guidance to staff and line managers on EDI-related matters, including reasonable adjustments, in line with policies and procedures.

4. Use professional judgement to identify complex, sensitive or high-risk issues and escalate appropriately to the EDI Programme Lead and/or Group Head of EDI.

5. Maintain accurate records of enquiries, advice provided, and actions taken to support governance and assurance.

Reasonable Adjustments Support

1. Oversee day-to-day processes for reasonable adjustments across the Group, ensuring requests are progressed in a timely and consistent manner.

2. Liaise with Procurement, IT and other teams to ensure effective procurement and delivery within expected timeframes of all equipment, resolving any issues that arise.

3. Provide expert guidance to managers and staff on the reasonable adjustment processes.

4. Liaise with external bodies, such as Access to Work and Department of Work and Pensions.

5. Liaison with suppliers, sourcing quotes and administration of requisitions. Monitor progress of cases, resolving where possible and escalating delays or issues in line with agreed process.

6. Ensure records are maintained accurately and in line with data protection requirements.

1. Maintain and update all EDI intranet pages, resource libraries and communications.

2. Coordinate the development and circulation of EDI communications and guidance materials.

3. Ensure EDI information is accurate, accessible and kept up to date.
