Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 SLT to join our community SLT team, working across our Pupil Referral Units, Mainstream Schools and Commissioned Service. This role is ideal for people who are interested in developing their leadership skills at Band 7 level and contributing to the development of the service.

- Experience of, and highly specialist skills working with, a diverse paediatric caseload 4-16 years old
- Experience of supporting the evaluation of service delivery in Pupil Referral Units (PRU) and Mainstream Schools (MSS)
- Experience of developing and delivering universal and / or targeted level provision in PRUs and MSS
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-agency team
- Ability to work flexibly and independently where necessary
- Enthusiasm, imagination, and initiative
- Understanding of the neurodiversity framework
Main duties of the job
- To contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery within PRUs, MSS and Commissioned Service
- To demonstrate highly specialist clinical skills in an area relevant to the team you work in
- To lead/supervise others within the service and to act as a resource and support for other therapists working with children withspeech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- To be responsible for the management of a caseload of children with SLCN and SEMH
- To provide line management to junior staff and SLTAs and participate in and provide clinical supervision and support as required.
- To work with parents, carers, school staff and other agencies involved in the children's care as well as part of a multi-agency team.
- To work as a member of the community paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team.

The Children's Therapy team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. Therapists work in multi-disciplinary/multi agency teams across the borough of Wandsworth.
