Paediatric Housekeeper

Job summary

Are you someone that is organised, pays attention to detail, works well within a large team and are open to a challenge? If so we are looking for a housekeeper to support the staff on Nicholls Ward at St Georges Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The Housekeeper is the first point of contact for our domestic staff, will have a responsibility for ensuring stock is managed effectively, including the ordering and putting away supplies. They will work closely with the Nicholls staff, the restocking and cleaning of all areas and will liaise with other departments within the Trust such as Procurement & Supplies and Catering. The housekeeper role is integral to the smooth running of the Paediatric ward.

We are therefore looking for someone who is prepared to be "hands on" with experience of working with people in a healthcare setting, preferably with experience in working within a ward or department and who possesses the following qualities:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
  • Willingness to develop within the role
