Job summary
Provides autonomous, advanced-level care for patients with complex upper limb and musculoskeletal conditions, working across outpatient settings and multidisciplinary clinics.
The role combines clinical leadership, education, service development and research.
Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will:
- Deliver advanced-level MSK assessment, diagnosis, and managemen in UL orthopaedic service and MSK physiotherapy.
- Work within multidisciplinary UL clinics in collaboration with orthopaedics.
- Contribute to research, service development, governance, and innovation
- Supervise and mentor physiotherapists and students
- Deliver clinical education to the MDT and external organisations
- Undertake audit and research to evaluate service impact
- Support the operational management of MSK outpatient services
- Champion patient-centred care, shared decision-making, and effective communication
Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning, advanced knowledge of MSK conditions, and a commitment to professional development.

- Independent or supplementary prescriber (where relevant)
- o*Certified speciality courses as service requires e.g. JAG accredited Nurse Endoscopist *(change as appropriate

- Undertaken accredited course or gained digital badge accreditation with NHSE Centre for advancing practice
- Completed advanced practice accreditation in speciality e.g. RCEM, RCN, full membership MACP
- Completed portfolio of supervised practice in speciality
- Relevant NHS leadership qualification or working towards
