We are looking to recruit a highly motivated band 5 Cardiac Physiologist to work within our non-invasive Cardiac Investigations team and gain tertiary exposure and experience in our invasive Cardiac Cath Labs team.

Main duties of the job

Undertaking a wide range of routine invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations with a busy tertiary centre.

Supervision of Exercise tolerance tests according to national standards / guidelines

Analysis and reporting of Ambulatory ECG monitor recordings

Analysis and reporting of 12 lead ECGs as part of GP reporting service

Supervision and reporting of Head Up Tilt Tests (HUTT)

  • Appropriate experience in a Cardiac Unit to State Registration standards.
  • AHCS Portfolio of Evidence

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) /BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or ACHS PTP certificate of equivalent.
  • RCCP registration or equivalent

Desirable

  • ILS

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform noninvasive cardiac investigations including ECGs, exercise ECGs and Ambulatory monitoring (ECG and BP).
  • To show proficiency in leading ETTs Understand and interpret a range of Cardiac Investigation results and analyse clinical data with supervision.
  • Understand the national and local guidelines and procedures required to perform clinical tests and demonstrate that they can carry these out to the required standards.
  • Commitment to training in more Specialised techniques e.g. Tilt Testing, Advanced PCI, complex device implantation and follow-up.

  • Experience of stock control management.
  • Experience of noninvasive training and supervision of junior staff.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic Cardiac Catheterisation and routine Pacemaker Implantation
