Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with good interpersonal and organisational skills looking to progress to a Band 3 Senior Assistant Technical Officer (SATO) and join our medicines optimisation team. You will currently be a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer preferably in a hospital setting looking to expand your role and knowledge.
If you have excellent proven organisation and communication skills as well as attention to detail and a good knowledge of Pharmacy IT systems, then this exciting new role could be the job for you.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include:o Day to day running of the satellite dispensing units on a rotational basis with our various satellites in different specialties and our main dispensaryo Participate in the ward Top up service / maintaining an Omnicell o Rapid TTO turnaround to maintain patient flowo Participate in medicines optimisation tasks where accreditedo Assist the ward-based pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at ward level maintaining the outsourced blister pack service / completing returnso Participate in dispensary-based duties on a rota systemo Participate in late evening rota, weekends and bank holiday rota.The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and enjoy both an individual challenge and working as part of a large team.
