Job summary
To work as a Band 7 Dietitian within the Cancer Services teamat St Georges Hospital. To be responsible for providing aspecialist dietetic service to Cancer Services pts - GI and Gynae;following evidence based practice, being an activemultidisciplinary team member, educator, developing nutritionpolicies and guidelines, participating in audit and researchrelated to Oncology and Haematology in order to improvehealth outcomes and develop the role and service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will cover both in-patients onOncology/Haematology wards and out-patient clinics in avariety of settings including consultant led and telephoneclinics.
Will work closely with the wider MDT within each speciality.The post-holder will also be expected to participate in MDTtraining and development related to this specialist area, and toparticipate in departmental audits, student training andsupervision of Band 5 or 6 posts.

The wider dietetic department consists of over 70 dietitians,who provide clinical inpatient and outpatient services to avariety of specialties including oncology, renal, neurology,haematology, paediatrics, cardiology, major trauma, intensivecare, gastro, surgical, diabetes, infectious diseases and HIV. Wealso work closely with our community colleagues.
