We are looking for an experienced diabetes dietitian to work as part of our dietetic team within St George's NHS Foundation Trust who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic with excellent team-working, communication and organisational skills. You should have advanced knowledge and experience of diabetes dietetics
Main duties of the job
This role involves working with inpatients and outpatients and delivering patient education sessions. Depending on experience level, we are willing to consider this as a training position therefore once the set competencies are achieved within the stated timeframe you will progress from band 6 to band 7. The diabetes dietetic team cover a wide variety of educational interventions including pump therapy, CGM, Libre, DAFNE, Carbohydrate Counting sessions, Gestational Diabetes group plus audit and research as part of the wider diabetes MDT.
About us
The wider dietetic department consists of over 70 dietitians, who provide clinical inpatient and outpatient services to a variety of specialties including acute; cardiology, bariatrics, gastro/liver, haematology, infectious diseases, major trauma, neuro, oncology/head&neck, paediatrics, renal, surgical and community services. The department is committed to training dietetic students and actively participates in the training programs of clinical and non-clinical staff.
