About us
St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group (gesh) is a group of hospitals and community services in South West London and Surrey - we are one of the largest NHS organisations in England, with 17,000 staff.
By working together, our integrated campaigns have led to a fall in attendances to emergency departments, higher levels of staff engagement with colleagues taking part in our monthly events and record-breaking attendances at public meetings.
We proactively retain a high profile in the media - our stories are regularly featured in national news, on broadcast, in print and online. We have also featured in several documentaries including the hit Netflix show Critical: Between Life and Death and are proud to have welcomed 24 Hours in A&E back to St George's, to showcase the exceptional work of our teams.
After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
