Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Therapy technician to join the acute inpatient neurosciences therapy service at St George's Hospital, Tooting.

Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. They will need to be able to complete tasks delegated to them as well as have the ability to use their initiative. Good team-work skills are essential as well as basic IT skills. Applicants will need to be able to work rostered weekends as part of the seven-day working service at St George's hospital supporting the acute neurosciences therapy team.

Main duties of the job

As a therapy technician you must have experience within the NHS and knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The posts will involve working alongside qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide direct patient intervention (both one to one and group sessions), assisting with administrative tasks, maintenance of equipment loans systems, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care.

We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the acute neuro cardiac therapy team at St George's Hospital NHS trust. This post sits within the acute neurology therapy team which covers the neuro-cardiac service, neuro-outreach service and regional neurology unit.
