Job summary
- We have an exciting opportunity for a SACT giver to join our Trevor Howell Day Unit team.
- To provide leadership to a team administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies & supportive treatments to day case oncology & lymphoma patients.
- In this role you will be a professional role model, leading and coordinating the nursing team.
- To be able to safely coordinate the unit and ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff.
Main duties of the job
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to develop leadership skills within the Trevor Howell Day Unit.
- The successful applicants will join a highly skilled specialist team that offer treatments including SACT and supportive therapies to patients with solid tumours as well as malignant haematological conditions.
- The candidate will have a recognised SACT course, have experience in administering SACT and have venepuncture/cannulation skills.
- The post holder will be expected to provide and maintain high standards of care to our patients, meeting trust values, be able to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to this group of patients.
- You will need to be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands.
