Senior Clinical Fellow in Cellular Therapy and Transplant (ST3+)

Job summary

This post is for a full time ST3+ level in Cellular Therapy within the Department of Haematological Medicine at Saint George's Hospital. based at St George's Hospital NHS Trust in the department of haematology for 12 months and will be participating in the on-call rota.

The post will have a specific focus on Cellular therapy with a view to develop and enhance skills and competencies of the candidate in accordance with the FACT-JACIE accreditation standards. The department is developing cellular therapy department with the aim to expand significantly its CAR-T work in the coming years. The post-holder is expected to work within the transplant and clinical trials teams to assist with the ongoing development of the CAR-T programme. The post holder will be cross covering the BMT programme, with the rapid progression in treatment indications for cellular therapy, this will evolve and may change.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as an integrated part of the haematology team at an ST3+ level supporting the in-patient, day unit and outpatient services across both malignant and non-malignant haematology under the supervision of the consultant team. The role will mainly focus on transplant coordinating and seeing patients in the late effects clinic on the ward, the post holder is required to have a good understanding of all haematological subspecialties as part of their on-call responsibility. They will be required to manage and review patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

  • Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
  • ST3 level training or equivalent (if non-UK trained)

  • Additional qualifications or Post-graduate qualification in related field.
