Main duties of the job
This post has been created to join the General Surgery team at St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and developed to provide delivery of clinical care for general surgery, and emergency surgical patients. As part of the reconfiguration of the delivery of trauma services at St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust there will be a commitment to the delivery of trauma care.
The post represents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic surgical team in general surgery with the potential to contribute to the new development of an emergency general surgery team and support the development of the major trauma services.

- To take an active part, in co-operation with colleagues, in the development of the emergency general surgery service, especially regarding the implementation of the hot laparoscopic cholecystectomy service and the development of Same Day Emergency Care pathways.
