Specialist Therapy Technician (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy)

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a Band 3 therapy technician to join a thriving Neurorehabilitation/Neurosciences service based at St George's Hospital, Tooting. This post will be part of a wider team providing level 1 inpatient neuro-rehabilitation at a 10 bedded unit at St George's Hospital. The Neurosciences and Therapies directorates are dynamic and innovative, and champion new ideas and developments from all team members. All services are formed of forward thinking, highly skilled and experienced Band 8a therapists with a range of specialisms across all domains of Neurotherapies and supported by the Therapy Consultants, Chief Therapist and AHP Lead and General Manager for Therapies. We are strongly committed to evidence-based practice, continuing professional and personal development as well as service development. There is a well-established in-service education programme and you will participate in this programme as part of your CPD.

Main duties of the job

We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team.Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. They will need to be able to complete tasks delegated to them as well as have the ability to use their initiative. Good teamwork skills are essential as well as basic IT skills.
