Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • We are seeking enthusiastic nurses at Band 5 to join our Children and Young Persons Emergency Department team.
  • We see a wide variety of patients, from those with primary care issues in our Urgent Care Centre, to trauma patients seen in the designated Major Trauma Centre for southwest London.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and be part of an evolving and developing service.
  • The Emergency Department is a friendly, dynamic work place that prides itself on the health and well being of it's staff and team work approach to all situations.

  • Registered Nurse: Paediatric with post registration experience or Adult trained with extensive experience in a paediatric acute care setting

Desirable

  • 6 month post registration
  • Completion of preceptorship programme
  • Venepuncture
  • IV drug Administration

  • oAbility to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
  • oAbility to effectively prioritise workload and patient care needs.
  • oDemonstrates an understanding of managing resources.
