Job summary
Do you have experience in a healthcare environment? Are you computer literate with a knowledge ofhospital IT systems? Then our ward clerkopportunity may be what you are looking for.
We are looking for someone to join us on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. We care for all children up to the age of 18 years old.
You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical support to patients, visitors and nursing staff.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, organised and pays attention to detail. You need to have good organisational, communication and computer skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a friendly multidisciplinary team. You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible, have excellent customer care skills, be approachable and be committed to influence and contribute to improving patients' experience.
Previous experience of working with the public is required but training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
To act as the initial point of contact for patients, visitors and callers to the ward ensuring their needs are met promptly and politely.
To assist the ward staff in the smooth running of the ward by taking responsibility for the routine, administrative aspects of the ward organisation.
