Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator working within the Specialist Medicine Directorate at St George's Hospital in Tooting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to clinical teams, booking appointments, typing clinic letters and monitoring the patient pathway with expert precision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key for this role as there is a need to communicate complex and sensitive information and provide support to both clinical and administrative staff.
This is a busy and dynamic role with a varied and interesting workload. It would suit someone that has excellent attention to detail and is confident at problem-solving.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive team working together to ensure our patients receive the very best possible care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will help to manage the Patient Tracking List, schedule appointments when required, process patient letters and provide a high standard of administrative support to ensure patients receive treatment as soon as possible and ensure national targets are met. This post will also support the team with the administration aspects of service delivery, including advanced therapy high-cost drug prescription coordination when required.
