Gynaecology Clinical Teaching Fellow with interest in Endometriosis & Benign Gynaecological Minimal Access Surgery and Honorary Clinical Lecturer

Main duties of the job

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the main Teaching Hospital linked to St George's University of London and plays a significant role in medical students teaching. This post has been established to enhance the teaching of medical and physician associate students in the Trust and St George's Medical School. There is an Undergraduate Co-coordinator based at the Trust who can support the organization of teaching within the Trust.

This post will be responsible for under-graduate teaching activities within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology division and performing research in Endometriosis for 50% of the post holder's time during the week. Part of this time will be allocated to further develop teaching skills and to register for the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Education course. For the remainder 50% of the week, the appointee will be helping with the endometriosis clinics, theatres, consent clinics and the endometriosis MDT to develop the individual's career.

The post holder will teach and co-ordinate students across all the Obstetrics and Gynaecology division to ensure that students are able to achieve their learning objectives. There will be close liaison with other Clinical Teaching Fellows in the Trust, to enhance the coordination or undergraduate clinical teaching of medical students.
