Job summary

We are looking to recruit a band 8A, IDT Applications Service Manager at an exciting time within St. George's.

The role would be part of the IDT Applications Team, managing the operational delivery of the Application Service, SLA management, supplier relationship management, contract management and delivery to ensure an efficient and customer-focussed service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for previous experience of working in a high demanding environment with excellent communication skills and to be able to work well as part of a team.

Previous experience of Acute Sector NHS Applications and Operational Service Management would be an advantage.

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's principal teaching hospitals and our main site is shared with St George's, University of London, which trains medical students and carries out advanced medical research.   • oMaster's Degree level education or equivalent experience in a numerate subject plus at least five years post degree experience in IT Service Management, ideally for Applications
  • oManagement Qualification/ Training
  • oFurther Professional management certification (e.g. Citrix Professional, VMWare)oITIL Service Management Foundation Level Certification

Desirable

  • PRINCE 2 Management Qualification

  • o5+ Years IT Applications Management experience
  • oExtensive experience of working with clinicians/stakeholders, senior managers, and other staff to improve service management
  • oExperience in communicating complex issues to a wide audience.

Desirable

  • oNHS Acute Sector experience with an understanding of IT policies and strategies
  • oKnowledge of project management techniques
