Job summary

The Breast Screening Service has a vacancy for a part time (24hrs) clerical assistant to support the team of Clinical Nurse Specialists. The position will involve general administrative duties, in particular assisting the nursing team in arranging various health promotion activities for the eligible population of South West London.

Applicants should be good team workers and be able to work unsupervised. Excellent communication skills are required to work with a wide range of disciplines and the general public. A high level of organisational skills are required for this post. Good computer skills are essential and applicants should have at least 2 years office experience.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide day to day, general administrative support to the Clinical Nurse Specialists within the South West London Breast Screening Service in the promotion and monitoring of breast screening for the South West of London.
  • To assist the Clinical Nurse Specialists in arranging health promotion activities for the eligible population of South West London with women's groups, community groups, special interest groups and primary care.
