Job summary

St Georges Hospital is undertaking an ambitious and aggressive portfolio of change to support the Trust's Digital Strategy and vision over the coming years. To support these changes, we are looking to recruit a Project Managerinto the IDT (Informatics / Digital / Technology) Delivery team.The IDT Delivery team provides project management support for a range of IDT projects from a busy portfolio of work. The post holder will need to be experienced, enthusiastic, team-focused and highly motivated to provide an excellent project management service into the Trust.The successful candidate will have strong and proven project management skills and experience of delivering small/medium/large projects, ideally in a healthcare environment.You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to work with multiple stakeholders, both within the Trust and with external suppliers, to develop appropriate drive and engagement for the projects you will focus on.

Main duties of the job

Full lifecycle delivery of IDT projects - planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects

  • Manage the implementation of a range of ICT projects (as portfolio priorities dictate)
  • Develop associated project plans and Project 'Workbooks'
  • Drive delivery of all related project activity in plan
  • Maintain project documentation (as local standards dictate)
  • Manage Risk, Issue and Dependency logs
  • Engage with staff, suppliers and other Healthcare organisations and manage key relationships (as relevant to projects)
  • Manage competing tasks effectively (focusing on the key priorities) in a pressurised environment
  • Manage demands and requests on time in a structured, responsive, and effective way
  • Manage, coach and motivate project team/s
  • Uphold Trust and IDT Best Practice standards at all times (being a champion for IDT projects)

Essential:

  • Have a passion for heath, digital and technology

About us

Informatics / Digital / Technology (IDT)

The Informatics Digital & Technology (IDT) department manages the Trust's IDT systems, infrastructure and support services enabling the electronic filing, printing and sharing of both clinical and non-clinical information. It also provides support to manage the systems and services which includes: helpdesk; IT training; break-fix; application development, acquisition and support for all the supported Trust IT services. The IDT department is also responsible for Information Governance.

We work to identify opportunities to streamline business processes and to enable data sharing and collaboration (internally and externally) by use, or replacement, of technology. In addition, IDT should provide tools to enable business units to achieve their goals, resulting in improved quality of care to patients.

The IDT Delivery team provides project management support for a range of IDT projects from a busy portfolio of work.
