Job summary
- To provide specialist high quality care for patients with spasticity.
- The post holder will provide strategic clinical insight into all aspects of the patient pathway and be expected to perform duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge.
- The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary MDT team and ward staff managing patients with spasticity and ITB pumps.
- To provide a seamless co-ordinated and timely approach to spasticity.
Main duties of the job
- To work in an MDT to deliver specialist care to patients who have severe spasticity.
- To promote independence and engagement in their spasticity management including patients with ITB pumps and following national standards.
- To provide a specialist nursing advise and support to patients, their families and other health care professionals.
- To work as an autonomous, advanced practitioner and effectively deliver an expert nursing service within the specialty of spasticity and intrathecal Baclofen.
- Provide effective hands-on nursing care, support, supervision and education to clients, carers, and relatives with complex neurological needs.
