Job summary

An exciting opportunity to provide a comprehensive Clinical Neurophysiological investigative service, to patients of all ages from a large range of specialties suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature.

Main duties of the job

Provides highly complex, specialist Clinical Neurophysiology service (s) to patients of all ages from a range of specialties suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature.

Responsible for the organization of clinical and non-clinical work.

Responsible for the provision, audit and quality of a specialist area of Clinical Neurophysiology Service delivery.

Responsible for the development and training of Clinical Physiologists (Neurophysiology) within the designated specialist area and other professionals (including medical students and Nurses).

Undertakes interpretation of results and provision of reports.

Work collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with others to ensure that service needs are

met.

  • BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent formal specialist training
  • Other appropriate qualifications e.g. BTEC HNC/D in MPPM / or equivalent experience + professional exam ECNE Part I
  • knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through specialist/management courses or training/experience to advanced level

Desirable

  • ECNE Part II.
  • MSc or equivalent
  • Training & Assessing Qualification
  • RCCP registration

Experience

Essential

  • Appropriate post qualification experience.
  • Practical experience and familiarity with the range of basic and advanced Neurophysiological Investigations.

Desirable

  • Supervisory & Management experience

  • Ability to perform a wide range of Neurophysiological investigations
  • Have the highest level of specialist skills and knowledge within the relevant field.
