Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Medicine & Senior Health Departments at St George's Hospital. We are looking to recruit up to 2x Physician Associates (PA) to join our busy teams and will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of Consultants, Senior/Junior Clinical Fellows, Nurses, Therapists and Management/Admin colleagues to care for patients on a day-to-day basis.

There is Consultant and Registrar support and supervision at all times and will be encouraged to participate in audits, research and to attend regular departmental teaching.

Main duties of the job

Physician Associates (PA's) are an important part of the team in Acute and Senior Health medicine. They will work alongside the junior doctors, consultants, therapists and nursing staff to care for patients on a day-to-day basis. It is expected that they will be a valued and integral part of the team. There is Consultant and registrar support and supervision at all times. We have enjoyed hosting PA students for a number of years and look forward to welcoming the skills they bring. PAs will be encouraged to take part in audits and research, and be expected to attend regular departmental teaching.
