Job summary

  • Understand and contribute to the development of Cancer Services Applications, Diagnostics (in relation to iClip), and iClip solution architecture.
  • Design components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology.
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organisation, and equipment.
  • Provide technical expertise to enable the configuration of software, other system components and equipment for systems testing. Collaborate with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans.

Main duties of the job

  1. You will understand and contribute to the development of IDT Applications solution architecture with a focus on linking the Cancer Services, Cerner iClip in relation to Diagnostics, technical architectures between iClip and other systems, but not limited to these.
  2. You will design components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology
  3. You will conduct appropriate due diligence work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organisation, and equipment.

  6. You will support divisional project initiatives with information and advice as required.
  7. You will develop and support the development and use of safe processes for the use of applications within clinical services.

Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree in a numerate or management specialism or equivalent experience
  • Qualifications and training and/or equivalent experience in managing staff, evidence of senior experience in the NHS or private sector

Desirable

  • Relevant professional qualification or experience with Cancer Services and links to EPR systems
  • ITIL qualifications to Foundation level

Experience

Essential

  • At least 6 years post degree experience in EPRs and/or clinical applications and systems, especially for Cancer Services, application build and support, with an understanding of Cerner and/or other application systems.
