Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity to become a Nurse Consultant across a busy Adult Critical Care Directorate (ACCD) in one of the four major trauma centres in London. The Critical Care Directorate comprises of 66 beds with separate General, Neuro and Cardiothoracic ICU's. The Cardiothoracic andNeuro Units are specialist tertiary referral centres that serve a population of around 3 million, covering a wide geographical area including Southwest London and the surrounding areas of Surrey and Sussex
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an exceptional, experienced advanced nurse practitioner to be a Nurse Consultant in Critical Care, joining our committed and dedicated multidisciplinary team.. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for the delivery of excellent evidence based clinical and professional standards. You will provide clinical oversight and leadership to our experienced clinical nurse specialists , as well as supporting the Critical Care Outreach and ICU Survivorship teams
You will be dynamic, motivated and have a passion for excellence in patient care. You will lead on nursing quality, care delivery, improving the patient experience, clinical outcomes, effectiveness and efficiency. You will be required to have skills in leadership, quality improvement and governance and be able to provide professional leadership as well as inspire, influence and motivate others.
