Job summary
To work autonomously to assess and treat adults and children attending the Enhanced Primary Care Hub (EPCH) at Queen Mary's Hospital (formally minor injuries unit) presenting with minor injuries and minor illness. The post holder will predominately work at EPCH and will be expected to work occasional shifts on the St George's Hospital site in their Urgent Treatment Centre and the Children's Emergency Department.

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Enhanced Primary Care Hub (Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton) is seeking experienced Emergency Practitioners from either a nursing, paramedic or physiotherapy background. We are looking for qualified Emergency Practitioners with existing experience looking for a new challenge in a new department seeing patients with minor injuries and minor illness.
EPCH is a dedicated practitioner-led unit located in Roehampton offering an appointment service for patients with minor injuries and minor illness. Emergency Practitioners at EPCH work alongside cross-site working Emergency Practitioners from St George's Hospital. The EPCH sees over 1000 patients per month. The Emergency Department at St George's Hospital sees over 150,000 patients a year and benefits from an 8-bed resuscitation unit, children's Emergency Department as well as the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The Emergency Practitioner team has the opportunity for high levels of clinical support that can facilitate extending scopes of practice. We offer ongoing development opportunities in a range of areas including MSc programmes and non-medical prescribing.
Shift patterns include weekend working for both EPCH and St George's Hospital UTC with the addition of unsociable hours and night shift working in the UTC.
