Job summary
We are looking for a Practice Educator / Practice Supervisor with significant experience of planning, implementing and reviewing education programmes within health settings. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in navigating complex systems and the ability to problem solve. They will be a key part of the safeguarding senior team and will be supported in their role by subject matter experts.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that training is dynamic, compliance pan-Trust is at target and ultimately, that all staff are fluent and competent in the implementation of the MCA, Domestic Abuse and all Safeguarding legislation. You will have a Quality Improvement mindset and be able to audit/reflect and adjust in response to identified themes. You will work closely with the wider Safeguarding team, Practice Educators, Medical Education team and our clinical teams..
As a senior member of the safeguarding team, you will be expected to provide leadership and role modelling to team members, report regularly and participate in audit and work plan / work plan reviews. You will have broad safeguarding experience, able to lead change and navigate complex systems.
We are keen to hear from experienced educators, as well as those with more specialist subject experience.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 18th December 2023 at St. George's. Interviews are only available face to face.
Main duties of the job
This role will lead on Safeguarding training and quality assurance across the Trust, supporting the Safeguarding team in planning, coordinating and evaluation of education and training across staff groups. This will include project managing delivery of high quality training in all aspects of safeguarding - Adults, Children, Domestic Abuse, Mental Capacity Act. A rolling program of audit, quality improvement projects and oversight of the national safeguarding landscape to create brief teaching.
