Job summary
The London Kidney Network Patient Partnership and Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring lived experience of those affected by kidney disease is at the heart of the LKN's strategy and delivery.
Main duties of the job
It will provide a culture of patient centred involvement that supports the delivery of the Network's objectives to improve quality, outcomes and experience through:
- Shareddecision making and the premise that "no decision about me, without me" is at the centre of the LKN's improvement and transformation work. This includes supporting ICS teams to embed this principle and focus in local renal transformation pilots.
- Excellent communication to garner collaboration between people affected by kidney disease, clinicians and other key stakeholders, including high level NHS managers. This will foster understanding of the rationale for improvement which puts patient experience and outcomes at its core.
- Prioritising health equity and diversity inclusion so that under-represented groups are included in all our work. This may include taking novel and innovative approaches, working in close collaboration with e.g. community faith groups to elicit meaningful involvement.
