Job summary

GESH is in the process of setting up a brand new Portfolio Management Office (PMO) function and requires a PMO Planner to help us on this journey.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will take a lead on portfolio planning and support the PMO team with the rollout of all PMO related activities and initiatives, designing and delivering innovative, effective, and lasting solutions to complex service problems.

The PMO Planner will:

  • Develop and own the Group portfolio plan/roadmap
  • Take a lead on PMO/portfolio planning needs (acting as the inhouse planning subject matter expert (SME)
  • Support the day-to-day planning needs to drive delivery of initiatives/projects/sprints.

  • Support working partnerships with management, operational, clinical staff and others to ensure engagement for associated Group initiatives/projects
  • Use influencing and facilitation skills to inspire colleagues to approach work and challenges differently e.g. adopt innovative business processes and establish effective relationships with internal partners.
  • Utilise analytical skills to develop planning, to ensure the initiatives/projects are given the best chance of remaining on schedule, within budget and deliver successful outcomes
  • Support all associated project assurance and governance functions of the PMO service offer (as required)
