Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the R&D Finance Team, who provides financial advice to support the Research and Development work within the Trust and to assist with the administration of R&D projects.

The Trust Research & Development (R&D) Team sits within the Joint Research Enterprise & Services (JRES) and provides specialist financial advice to support Research and Development within the Trust and to assist with the administration of R&D projects.

You will lead a team of three providing financial oversight of the Trust Research Portfolio. Provide expertise advise and guidance on Research funding, Financial management and Budgetary control.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage the Trusts CRN allocation, providing variance analysis, preparation of quarterly reports and annual budget setting.
  • Lead the R&D finance team, motivating staff to provide pro-active, outcome focused and supportive service to clinicians.
  • To deputise and assist the Head of Research Funding.
  • To provide financial support to enable robust financial management of all R&D funding bids both Commercial and Non Commercial.
  • To assist production of regular R&D budgetary reporting and analysis to all levels of management and research leads.
  • To provide financial advice and guidance to Clinicians, Research Teams and Administrators within the Trust.
  • To assist in production of all external R&D reporting requirements.
