Job summary

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to support the Pharmacy Operational Manager -Technical Services in the Pharmacy Technical Services department covering the following areas;

Aseptics produce PN for adults, paediatrics, and neo-nates, CIVAS for paediatrics and neo-nates and various dispensed items.

Cytos produce chemotherapy doses, monoclonal antibodies and clinical trials for adults and paediatrics.

Non-Sterile produce oral solutions, solutions & creams. Non-Sterile also holds a Manufacturers license (specials) in order to produce batches. This allows the unit to sell and supply products to external clients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder duties will include the supervision and training of ATO's, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pre-registration pharmacists.

The candidate must have hospital Aseptic experience and be prepared to work towards the NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent if they do not already possess this.
