Jungle Ward is the Paediatric Day Care department at St Georges Hospital. It is growing vibrant department caring for children from 0 - 18 years with many varied and complex medical and surgical disorders.

This busy department needs a dynamic and flexible band 5 Paediatric staff nurse to complete the team.

Our paediatric day care service will continue to grow, expand and develop in the coming years therefore the successful applicant will need to enjoy affecting change and progression.

If you are happy to work as part of an extended multidisciplinary team and enjoy caring for children and their families undergoing a variety of surgical and medical procedure while understanding the importance and philosophy of a Day Care this is the job for you.

The hospital also provides all the usual care you would expect from a local NHS district general hospital.

We also provide services at Queen Marys Hospital in Roehampton. These include outpatient rapid diagnostic and treatment facilities, a minor injuries unit, limb fitting services and 70 elderly, intermediate care and rehabilitation beds.

As well as hospital services, we provide a wide variety of specialist, maternity and community services to children, adults, older people and people with learning disabilities. These services are provided from St Johns Therapy Centre, 11 health centres and clinics, schools, nursing homes and peoples own homes. The trust also manages the healthcare service at HMP Wandsworth.

Main Duties/Key Results Areas: Focusing, where possible, on outcomes qualitative as well as quantitative.
