Job summary
- To determine clinical diagnosis using assessment skills, plan and deliver effective treatment programmes and maintain associated records for patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions as an autonomous practitioner.
- To delegate workload to Therapy Technicians and may be involved in teaching MDT staff.
- To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and may participate in departmental research and audit.
- To work as an autonomous practitioner within the standards of professional practice laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Professions Council
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality inpatient physiotherapy to patients following out of hospital cardiac arrest as part of their acute rehabilitation and recovery.
To provide high quality physiotherapy to patients who have experienced out of hours cardiac arrest and require acute assessment and early acute rehab to optimise their recovery.
To participate in the 7 day service supporting the emergency respiratory physiotherapy service and/or the acute rehabilitation service across medicine and senior health wards.
