Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a part qualified and motivated individual to work within one of the Clinical Divisions of St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. St George's in a large teaching hospital in South West London, which provides a variety of elective and emergency services to both the local population and across the South East.
This role will assist in providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to Operational managers and Clinicians and work to ensure the month end processes and deadlines are delivered.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our Management Accounts team. The individual should also have excellent communication skills and an inquisitive nature.

Main duties of the job
Job Summary:
- To deputise for the Divisional Finance Manager for the CWDT division when required.
- To manage the day to day operation of the budgetary control cycle for the CWDT Division. Ensuring that monthly accruals are routinely raised, reports are produced, variances investigated and budget statements promptly distributed in accordance with Trust timetables.
- To ensure that financial enquiries and advice is provided to budget holders in a timely, accurate and reliable manner.
- To support Trust wide accounting and processing requirements.
- To co-ordinate the work of the management accounts processing team.
- To support the Divisional Finance Manager in the budget setting process.

The Role of the Management Accounts section is to deliver Financial Budgetary Reporting and Financial Advice on budgetary control, Cost Reduction, business cases and other finance related issues to the Trust as a whole and on its constituent service areas. Part of this process involves the annual setting of service budgets of approximately £800m for the Trust and the delivery of regular financial reporting on the performance of these budgets to key managers and budget holders.
