Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for an experienced nurse to join our friendly team at our newly developed 23 hour Day Surgery Unit. We are looking for someone with surgical experience who is motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic.

You will regularly take charge of the unit and as an effective leader and role model you will work flexibly as a member of the team and support the team leaders, to ensure that standards are maintained, evaluated and where necessary improved. You will be an effective role model and be involved in helpingto develop all aspects of the unit in line with the Trusts visions and future plans. Specialist surgery provides an exciting nursing challenge and we can promise you a varied and in depth role which will give you an opportunity to broaden and advance your expertise in a busy but supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

All applicants must be a Registered Nurse, with extensive post registration experience at Band 5/6, Gynaecology/Urology/ENT/General Surgery scrub competent or above within the Surgical Field. All applicants will be required to complete a presentation at interview and question to be given in advance to the shortlisted candidates. You must be flexible, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. If you are looking to develop your managerial, clinical and decision making skills we would love to hear from you.
