Main duties of the job
The New Post
We seek one 8PA academic and clinical diagnostic neuroradiologist who has a specialist interest in paediatric, perinatal and foetal neuroimaging and is keen to join our neuroradiology services at St George's and at King's College London (KCL)/Guy's and St Thomas'(GSTT).
General duties
The 8PA post will include 2 mixed clinical/research PAs (Perinatal Imaging and Health, KCL/ GSTT Guy's and St Thomas'), 1 research SpA at St George's, general adult and paediatric neuroradiology reporting sessions (St George's and DGH), 1 SpA for CPD and teaching/training, and sharing in the diagnostic on call rota (intended to be 1:8 with prospective cover, Category A, 5%).
Academic Sessions
Two clinical/research PAs funded by KCL reporting clinical and research scans (foetal and neonatal neuroimaging) and one dedicated research SpA funded by St George's. This will be a great opportunity for the post-holder to work and collaborate closely with clinical and research colleagues with expertise in foetal and perinatal neuro-imaging at two large teaching hospitals. There will be further opportunities and support offered from St George's Translational and Clinical Research Institute (TACRI) alongside the Joint Research and Enterprise Service (JRES). TACRI provides educational and clinical seminars, a statistical consultancy service, where researchers can sense-check planned methodologies and statistical approaches, an interactive website highlighting research success and much more.
