Job summary
To provide a first point of contact for members of the public attending the Maxillofacial Department and liaise with staff within the department and other departments. To reception outpatient clinics, deal with enquiries and enable efficient registering and recording of patient attendances. To ensure that all notes are readily available for clinics and to arrange the retrieval of patients notes when requested to do so by dental and nursing staff within the department. To act at all times as a multidisciplinary team member, to support delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care. To provide general support as required to the Maxillofacial Department following in-service training.
Main duties of the job
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two highly motivated individuals to join the maxillofacial and Dental department as Outpatient Clinic Coordinators.
You will undertake the role of Clinic Coordinator, providing a comprehensive administrative support to both the Maxillofacial and Dental services.
The Clinic Coordinator post has a predominantly internal focus. The key duties are as follows:
- To support the Clinic Manager with operational and administrative issues
- Receptioning of outpatient Clinics
- To field enquiries in person, via phone and via email, for patients, visitors and staff in relation to the St Georges Outpatient service
