Job summary

Interim Secondment Opportunity for 6 Months: Group Director of Nursing Development Band 8D

We are looking for a dynamic nurse leader to join us as The Group Director of Nursing Development. The post-holder will deliver specific Group projects in relation to seasonal staff vaccination and Lateral Flow Testing, complex complaints and patient experience and other defined Group projects and developments. This post holder will lead on patient experience, Group complaints and PALS processes as well as interpreting services.

Main duties of the job

The Group Director of Nursing Development will be a highly visible, approachable individual who alongside the Group Director of Quality and Safety Governance.

You will need to be educated to master's level and have at least 2 years' experience at a senior nurse role in an acute setting. We are seeking an individual that has excellent interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills and the ability.

In addition to having excellent communications skills, the ability to respond to critical and immediate changes of work priorities and demands is crucial to this role.

  • Significant experience at a senior nurse level within a Health care environment.
  • Experience of successfully implementing significant change projects across services.
  • Experience of working with patients/service users to improve their experience.
  • Experience in implementing safety/quality initiatives and service improvement projects
  • Experience in setting objectives and performance management and holding staff to account.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Corporate Role

Skills/ Attributes

  • Knowledge of Nursing & Midwifery Policy & Practice and NMC standards and requirements.
  • Committed to improving patient care and raising clinical and professional standards

Desirable

  • First degree education of equivalent experience
  • Master's degree level or equivalent professional qualification and evidence CPD
