Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy Department at St George's University Trust for a Deputy Manager in Stores and Automated Dispensing Cabinets.

The postholder will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Pharmacy Stores and will play a vital role in maintaining, improving and implementing Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Providing a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to inpatients, outpatients, wards and clinics
  • assisting in the provision, maintenance and support of specialist Pharmacy systems including JAC, BD robotics, Omnicell etc.
  • Supporting the Stores & Distribution Manager in the day-to-day management of the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Service (receipt, storage, assembly and distribution), including responsibility over stock control and investigations.
  • Contributing to Datix investigations.
  • Undertaking any other duties required within the nature and grade of post, as designated by the Stores & Distribution Management Team
