Job summary
The post-holder is responsible for undertaking and recording a comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diversegroup of patients. Is expected to deliver care without direct supervision. Is accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care. Is expected to teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non-registered nursing workforce. Is accountable for care or any omissions of care that he/she delegates to others Is expected to act as role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team
Main duties of the job

If the answer is yes, then come and join our supportive and friendly team on Vernon Ward.Our Urology Department provides acute and elective services to St Georges Hospitals and to an extensive tertiary network. We use cutting edge technology, including the Da Vinci robot, delivering state of the art care to patients with kidney, bladder and prostate cancer. The penile cancer team has the largest network of its kind in the UK and has the largest contemporaneous series of penile cancer patients worldwide. As a major trauma centre we care for a large number of trauma patients with approximately 30% of surgical emergency admissions being urological.You will be supported by our team of senior nurses, CNS's and clinical educators in gaining new skills and furthering your career.
