This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our dedicated Children Looked After nursing team within Croydon.
To work as part of the Children Looked After (CLA) health team in Croydon Health Service (CHS), and as part of a wider multi-agency partnership in ensuring that comprehensive and robust arrangements are in place and adhered to in the provision of services delivered by CHS to the children and young people looked after by Croydon Council.

Main duties of the job
To fulfil the role of Specialist Nurse for CLA on behalf of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The post holder will work in accordance with the DOH 2015 guidance "Promoting the health and wellbeing of looked after children" and in line with the Intercollegiate Framework 2015 competence skills and knowledge framework.
The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of looked after children and young people, autonomously undertaking direct specialist clinical work including carrying out statutory health assessment reviews on Looked after Children.
The post holder will develop and deliver personalised packages of health care for children and young people for whom Croydon Council is the corporate parent.
The post holder will work with colleagues to ensure Looked after Children receive timely, child and young person-focused assessments and interventions in line with Statutory Guidance. The post holder will ensure the completion of the reports in line with the statutory time requirements.
The post holder will deliver training to foster carers and other health and social care professionals.
The post holder will be expected to work with vulnerable children and young people, using a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the potential impact of trauma on individuals, and aims to create safe, supportive, and empowering environments
