So, what's the role all about?
You'll be working right at the heart of our community - in schools, homes, family hubs, youth centres, health clinics and more. You'll be:
- Supporting health promotion activities - whether it's one-on-one, in small groups, or in front of a whole school assembly!
- Helping to deliver parts of the Healthy Child Programme, including the National Child Measurement Programme and vision screening.
- Offering friendly, practical advice to children and families on everything from healthy eating and oral health to emotional wellbeing and continence (don't worry - we'll give you the training and support you need!).
- Spotting concerns early and linking families in with the right services so that children get the support they need, when they need it.
- Being a trusted face and consistent support for families, helping them feel heard and empowered.
Who are we looking for?
You'll be perfect for this role if you:
- Have experience working with children (in schools, nurseries, or community settings).
- Hold a Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g. CACHE, BTEC, NVQ).
- Are confident speaking with children, young people and parents--and able to build trusting relationships.
