Job summary
There are exciting opportunities to join our friendly and dynamic Children's Community nursing team as a Band 5 delivering family centred nursing care to children with acute, complex and unstable long-term/palliative care, providing a 7 day service to children living in Croydon and supporting end of life care.Are you an enthusiastic, motivated qualified nurse (or qualifying soon) or are you an experienced Band 5 with aspirations to become a Band 6 caseload holder? We are ready to invest in develop you as community nurse within our team. You will be well supported by your colleagues and our practice education team to develop your skills and competencies. You will have your own bespoke workplan as you progress towards autonomous practice or promotion. This may include spending protected time within special schools, Rainbow children's unit or with our specialist nurses to build on and gain additional experience and competencies.
Main duties of the job
The team works in partnership with health and social care organisations reducing the need for hospital intervention. As a Band 5 you will be working alongside and under the guidance of senior colleagues working within specific competencies to provide care in Children and Young peoples homes
