The Enhanced Care Team was introduced to improve the way we currently care for our patients requiring extra support for a variety of reasons. The provision of enhanced care support for patients has a significant impact on both patient and carers experience. Individualised tailored care contributes towards patient's safety and delivery of the fundamentals of care. The role of an enhanced carer is to engage and support the patient.
